American Imperialism and Aggression
One ‘advantage’ to Trump’s extremely weak international standing seems to be a global resistance to American Imperialism.
Putting American global dominance in perspective, American imperialism, as depicted in these non-MSM articles, has brought out the best in globally-inspiring ideals, the worst in behavior (but typical of imperialism, with a dominant military), with a typical ‘decay from within’ scenario, driven by the tRump administration.
Unlike the sensation seeking so-called “reporters” that got tRump elected, the articles in this section were written independent of Main Stream Media (MSM) controls but also independent of each other. However, they all point to the same hidden-from-public-view problem of the Grand-Canyon-wide gap between America’s highly commendable, spiritually-oriented ideals and actual practices around the globe in the name of “defense.” These authors all point, individually and independently, to the old adage that “power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely,” and the U.S. has been THE absolute global power since WWII.
The first real “whistleblower” concerning American Imperialism was a 1930s multiple Medal of Honor Marine general by the name of Smedley Butler, in his short book “War is a Racket.(pdf)” But he was also instrumental in stopping a coup against the president, as reported in the account, “Smedley Butler and the 1930s Plot to Overthrow the President.”
Researchers have been expanding on Butler’s work lately. In the process they have uncovered many disturbing facts, as witnessed below with a partial list of facts and opinions.

Former Bush Administration Insider Reflects on the Failure of the Iraq War
This is not a short piece, but the similarities of behind-the-scenes manipulation of facts, complete ineptitude and publicized rationale, by U.S. administration war-mongers of the then-Iraqi war and today’s dealings with Iran are downright scary. ~ Don Chapin
Generals Won’t Save Us from the Next War
“I’m very much afraid that Danny Sjursen is correct in this article when he states, ‘The American military, especially at the senior ranks, is apt to let you down whenever courage or moral fortitude is needed most.’ I had been hoping that tRump’s fascist takeover of the U.S. government would eventually be stopped by our military as a last resort, even if not constitutionally recognized. BUT, what Danny is pointing out is the basic cowardice of our generals, which I agree is of particularly grave concern at ANY time. I retired from a different branch of the military—I refuse to call it ‘service,’ because it isn’t—and one pay grade lower than Danny. But my observations are similar… our general officers and those aspiring to that position are primarily political animals, not used to thinking outside-the-box. The ‘American War Machine’ is more interested in ‘the old order’ of perpetuating itself and comfortable retirements, rather than ideology.” ~ Don Chapin
How the Navy Sold the Vietnam War
So history repeats itself with the passage of the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002. Similar to the Gulf of Tonkin resolution of 1964, deception at the highest levels of the U.S. government was used to justify a war that shouldn’t have occurred and the US public had to be energized to support the war. U.S. entry into WWII was started in a similar manner when FDR followed an Army Lt Colonel’s advice about provoking Japan … while FDR wanted to help Europe fight Nazi Germany … who had allied with Japan… a means had to be found to energize a complacent US public for war.
Whitewashing War Crimes Has Become The American Way
It seems that whitewashing, excusing and apologizing for criminal military behavior is as American as apple pie

Jimmy Carter: US is the most warlike nation in history of the world
The only US president to complete his term without war, military attack or occupation has called the United States “the most warlike nation in the history of the world.” Carter then referred to the US as “the most warlike nation in the history of the world,” a result, he said, of the US forcing other countries to “adopt our American principles.”

9/11: The Beginning of the End of the US Empire Project
REPOST: Any pretense that the US intended to seek justice or increase world stability via its so-called War on Terror has been dramatically overshadowed by increased global resentment toward the US, which has in fact generated more terror attacks around the world. It is precisely this legacy that continues today: ongoing US military violence abroad, increased domestic surveillance and repression at home, and a world more violent and less safe for all.
Hands Off Venezuela: Historic Stance at the United Nations against US Imperialism
REPOST: In a spectacular display of solidarity and strength, envoys from such distant capitals as Beijing and Havana, Moscow and Tehran, Pyongyang and Caracas, Damascus and Managua and numerous other states stood together, side by side, in front of the United Nations Security Council, declaring their determination to protect the UN Charter and International Law, and hold sacrosanct the sovereignty and inviolability of each member state.

Reason for America
HOWEVER, THERE IS A DEEPER, SPIRITUAL REASON FOR AMERICA… for America to extend from ocean to ocean with benign neighbors to the north and south. Making America physically hard to attack and relatively isolated from the rest of the world. And that reason is spiritual development… not just of America, but global spiritual development…

At this critical turning point in world history, the choice is still, to a surprising degree, ours to make. But not for long.
